To be honest I am not a fan of kale at all. But I try to have it in my diet on a weekly basis, why? It is a powerful veggie, that packs a punch. Kale is low in calorie, high in fiber and has zero fat. It boost your metabolism and kills toxins in your body. It is great for aiding in digestion and elimination with its great fiber content. It’s also filled with so many nutrients, vitamins, folate and magnesium. Kale can help lower cholesterol, which may reduce the risk of heart disease. We all are aware that women over the age of 40 has a high risk of getting heart disease.
Bottom line Kale is extremely high in vitamin C, an antioxidant that has many important roles in the body. A single cup of raw kale actually contains more vitamin C than an orange. Now is that a reason to make sure it is a constant source of your diet? I think so, check out some of my recipes below on getting the power you need.
